Preparatory Courses

What is a preparatory course?

Our preparatory courses (also called foundation course) prepare you for the external university qualification assessment test (the “Feststellungsprüfung” or FSP) of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. You can choose between T-Course, M-Course, W-Course and G-Course. The FSP-test is mandatory for foreign students who want to apply to a university in Germany. The test is administered twice a year, in May and in November, by the district government of Cologne. The grades obtained in the FSP are an admission criterion for university applications, together with the grades of your school-leaving qualification.
