What do I need to know for telc B2?

At the B2 level in German, you can express yourself clearly and in detail, as well as successfully argue and negotiate. You have a broad vocabulary in your own field and on most general topics. Your grasp of grammar is quite good.

How is the telc B2 exam structured?

The telc B2 exam consists of both a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 2 hours and 20 minutes. You have 20 minutes of preparation time before the oral exam, which takes place on the same day as the written exam.

How do I prepare for telc B2?

When will I receive the exam results?

Upon passing the exam, you will receive a certificate, and if you do not pass the exam, you will receive a result sheet usually 4-6 weeks after the exam. You can retake the exam as many times as you want until the end of the following calendar year. If you only failed either the oral or written part of the exam, you do not need to retake the entire exam, only the part you failed. More details can be found in § 5 of the examination regulations.
