W stands for Wirtschaft, meaning “economics” or “business” in German. The preparatory W-Course will prepare you for your German assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung, FSP), if you plan to study in the field of business studies or social sciences.
In general, foreign students that have to apply for a Studienkolleg in Germany and intend to study, for example, business studies or social sciences at a German university. In the preparatory W-Course, you will be taking lessons in English, German, economics and mathematics.
The field of business and economics offers you a variety of possible degree courses in Germany. After having passed the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) and you have participated your foundation course W, you can choose between e.g.:
Our team of lecturers is specialized in economics and every other subject that is taught within the course. None the less, they are highly familiar in preparing you just right for your Feststellungsprüfung by giving you all the information and advice you need to pass the FSP exam that is not necessarily subject-related.
Beside the regular classes, you have the option to participate in our FSP-Tutorials. They offer you even more information and help you might need to prepare for yourself for the assessment exam.
The Studienkolleg Düsseldorf features also guest lectures from professors, lecturers and personalities to show you a glimpse of what might be waiting for you in the world of Business Studies and Economics. Therefore, we also conduct several trips to, for example, the stock market, to make you sense and learn application methods from business practice.
We constantly try to evaluate your learning progress with regular tests and progression control. Through our subject-specific trips and project work we try to loosen up the everyday teaching life and keep the balance between learning and enjoyment.
